The benefits of live yeast culture has been widely investigated across the world. Dry matter digestibility of forages can be improved greatly by just supplementing small quantity of yeast. Only live yeast can secrete active metabolites like co-factors, peptides, B-complex vitamins and unidentified growth factors not the dead or dry yeast.
Mode of Action:
Livesac-E scavenges oxygen molecules entrapped in cecum/colon and oxygen associated with forage/feed particles to create strict anaerobic condition necessary for growth of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
Livesac-E stimulates uptake of already produced lactic acid leading to stabilization of pH of cecum/colon. In other words supplementation of yeast maintains constant pH by favoring the competition between lactic acid utilizing bacteria and lactic acid producing bacteria thus monitoring lactic acid concentration in cecum/colon.
Livesac-E is able to stimulate growth of total anaerobic bacteria in turn digestibility of plant fiber.
Benefits:
- Increases number of total anaerobic bacteria that improves feed intake and digestibility of dry matter and hence enhanced fiber digestibility and VFAproduction.
- Since lactic acid levels are constantly monitored by Livesac , there is less or no risk of caecal acidosis, indigestion, impaction, bloat and other digestive disorders.
- Yeast is a rich source of B-complex vitamins
- Supplementation of yeast improves consistency of dung.
- Extracts from yeast cell wall are known to stimulate immune system of elephants.
- Yeast cell wall has some amount of affinity to bind mycotoxins.
- The ability of yeast to produce glutamic acid could improve the taste/palatability of feed.
